Man arrested for outstanding warrants after jumping turnstiles at BART station

( KRON ) – A man was arrested on drug charges and outstanding warrants after jumping over the turnstiles at a BART Station, the Colma Police Department said.

At 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 1, Colma police officers said they witnessed a man jump over the turnstiles at the Colma Bart Station in the 300 block of D Street. According to police, the man failed to pay for a public transportation ticket.

Police made contact with the man and conducted a records check. According to the investigation, the man had an out-of-county misdemeanor warrant and an out-of-county felony warrant for his arrest. Police arrested the man and conducted a search, where officers found drug paraphernalia, suspected controlled substance and credit cards not in his name.

The man was identified as a 33-year-old San Francisco resident.

He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for his outstanding warrants, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and misappropriation of found property.
