( KRON ) – One man died in a fatal traffic collision in San Pablo on Tuesday morning.
At 3:07 a.m. on Tuesday, San Pablo police officers responded to the area of San Pablo Avenue and Broadway Avenue regarding an injury traffic collision, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Responding officers located a man suffering from major injuries.
Despite efforts from emergency medical services, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

The vehicle’s occupants were a male driver and a female passenger. The man and woman were not injured from the collision.
According to the preliminary information, the vehicle was traveling northbound on San Pablo Avenue when it collided with a pedestrian in the roadway. The occupants of the vehicle remained on scene and are cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Impaired driving does not appear to be a contributing factor at this time, according to police.
San Pablo Avenue (between Broadway Avenue and Rumrill Boulevard) is temporarily closed to all traffic at the moment.
