( KRON ) — Police officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation in Richmond on Tuesday night found a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to the Richmond Police Department. The shooting occurred in the 2300 block of Lancaster Drive at 10:56 p.m.
The victim in the shooting succumbed to their injuries at the scene, police said. Richmond homicide detectives later arrived at the scene to take over the investigation.

The identity of the victim was not released. There have been no arrests in connection to the homicide, Richmond PD said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Hoffman at (510)-621-1755.
