As the week kicks off, residents in our region can expect predominantly dry weather conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts a tranquil start to the workweek, with high-pressure systems dominating, resulting in mild daytime temperatures and cool overnight lows.
The risk of widespread frost is minimal, but some interior areas may experience temperatures dipping into the mid and low 30s.
However, a notable shift is anticipated mid-week as a weak weather system approaches, bringing a chance of beneficial rain to the area on Wednesday into Thursday. This early precipitation is part of a series of more substantial storms lining up for the region from Friday through early next week.
In an update issued by the NWS, Monday evening brought another quiet night, coupled with slightly warmer temperatures compared to recent nights. While there remains a potential for frost in the interior, it is not expected to be widespread. Fog may be less prevalent, particularly in portions of the North Bay Valleys and the Salinas Valley.
