(KRON) — Vallejo police said one suspect is still at-large after a juvenile boy was robbed and shot in the face in Washington Park.
The violence broke out in broad daylight, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Someone rushed the young gunshot victim to a local hospital. The boy was later transferred to Oakland Children’s Hospital and he is expected to survive, police said.
Later that day, Vallejo Police Department detectives and K-9 units arrested another juvenile on suspicion of attempted homicide and robbery. Investigators also served search warrants at two homes on La Canyada Drive and Sacramento Street. “A loaded firearm believed to be used in the shooting, along with additional evidence, was located,” VPD wrote.
