Tragedy struck earlier this Monday afternoon as Contra Costa Fire and Richmond Fire Department crews responded to a deadly single-vehicle accident on an Interstate 80 off-ramp in El Sobrante.
The incident occurred at 3:12 pm, prompting an immediate and collaborative response from both firefighting agencies.
Upon arriving at the scene, fire crews discovered a single vehicle involved in the accident with one occupant inside.
