Man accused of robbing multiple gas stations arrested

( KRON ) – A man accused of robbing multiple gas stations was arrested on Thursday, according to the Pinole Police Department.

Pinole police dispatch received two separate reports of armed robberies at gas stations on Pinole Valley Road on Feb. 27. The first robbery occurred at 8:39 p.m. and the other at 8:41 p.m.

According to police, witnesses described an armed Black man entering the gas stations, demanding money and fleeing in a green SUV. There were no reports of physical injuries.

Officers utilized a traffic camera image of the suspect’s vehicle from earlier in the evening with license plates attached and disseminated the information to Bay Area law enforcement agencies. According to Pinole PD, the Daly City Police Department informed officers that the suspect had also committed robberies in their jurisdiction.

The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Oakland resident Shamari Raheem.

Raheem was arrested and booked into the San Mateo detention facility for several counts of robbery.
