SF Golden Gate Bridge Tolls Increase Monday July 1: More Increases Ahead

On Monday, July 1st, the Golden Gate Bridge toll will increase by 50 cents. And to no one’s surprise, this is just the beginning.

On Friday, the board of the Golden Gate Bridge voted for an increase of a whopping 50 cents a year through the year 2028. The new toll will be $10.25 for two-axle vehicles. The exact fees will be $9.25 for anyone with a Fasttrak reader, $9.50 for a license plate account or for a one-time payment, and $10.25 for invoices. For carpool lates with a Fasttrak, the toll will be $7.25. These fees will cover two-axle vehicles, which include most cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Big rigs will be paying some stiff fees, including a $71.75 fee for trucks with 7 axles or more, through the invoice. If they use Fasttrak, the fee will be $61.25.
