In Hayward, a routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a suspect for being in possession of a stolen firearm, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officers from the California Highway Patrol – Hayward Area, serving the graveyard shift, pulled over a GMC Yukon for lack of visible license plates. The incident took a turn when a handgun was spotted inside the vehicle.
