BART recovering from major delay on SF Line Thursday morning

SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — The Bay Area Rapid Transit District announced a major delay stemming from San Francisco’s 16th St. Mission station on Thursday morning. The delay affected service on the San Francisco Line in the SFO, Millbrae, Daly City and East Bay directions.

The major delay was due to a “major medical emergency,” an advisory posted at 6:07 a.m. from BART said. As of 7:05 a.m., BART said there was a 10-minute delay.

All trains are stopping at 16th St. Mission station.

BART clarified to KRON4 that a person was on the trackway at the 16th St. Mission station. The individual was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
