San Francisco 49ers All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey has had a lingering calf strain since training camp. The calf strain has turned into chronic Achilles tendinitis. After considering all his options he has decided to seek out further options outside the country. He left for Germany to see a specialist this week for a new opinion. Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed McCaffrey’s journey, saying that he hopes that this consultation will provide a way to fix a problem that has been around since August.
