( KRON ) – The Daly City Police Department arrested four individuals on organized theft charges after a string of eyewear thefts in Daly City and the surrounding cities, the department announced.
At 3:37 p.m. on Sept. 12, two masked people walked up to the LensCrafters inside Macy’s at the Serramonte Center. One of the individuals was carrying a plastic bag. Police said the two noticed the store was closed by a sign saying the employees were on break.
According to Daly City PD, detectives witnessed one of the suspects begin to try to open the locked doors. The suspects decided to flee but were apprehended by police.
The suspects were identified as two 18-year-olds, one from South San Francisco and the other was a San Francisco resident.

The teens were arrested and booked into the county jail for suspicion of organized retail theft, attempted burglary, receiving stolen property and other offenses. The suspect who attempted to open the doors of the closed store received an additional gun charge.
