On July 13, at 10:53 a.m., HPD said officers responded to the intersection of Pompano Avenue and Sumatra Street and found evidence of a shooting that had been reported. Police said moments later, officers received additional calls of a shooting and collision near the 27000 block of Havana Avenue.

Officers discovered a 19-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a car that appeared to have crashed into a parked car after the shooting occurred, said HPD.

The victim, identified as Angel Enciso, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives said they were able to identify Ramos as the shooter from evidence collected during the investigation and, on Thursday, arrested him for murder. A search of his home recovered multiple guns, but it is not yet known if any of the firearms were used in Enciso’s murder, said police.
