Oakland Man Charged with Narcotics Felonies After Sonoma Traffic Stop Reveals Cocaine, Fentanyl

An Oakland man was arrested last Friday evening in Sonoma County following a routine traffic stop which led to the discovery of illicit substances in his vehicle. According to the Sonoma Sheriff’s social media post, the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Jose Valle-Acosta, was pulled over for multiple traffic violations at around 7pm. A search of his vehicle revealed 13 bags containing suspected cocaine in the glove box, and further inspection uncovered a hidden compartment in the center console where just over a half-pound of fentanyl, as well as digital scales, were found.
