Caltrans Bay Area-District 4 has scheduled crucial barrier rail repairs on U.S. 101 and I-80 in San Francisco, causing significant overnight closures and detours throughout November. Drivers should be prepared for disruptions and plan alternative routes.
The first full closure will impact the westbound I-80 connector to southbound U.S. 101, along with the southbound U.S. 101 on-ramp from 10th and Bryant Street. This closure will run from November 9 at 10 p.m. to November 11 at 9 a.m. Additional closures include:
- November 17 (12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.): Westbound I-80 to northbound U.S. 101 connector and southbound U.S. 101 on-ramp at 7th and Harrison Street.
- November 18 (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.): Two lanes closed on westbound I-80 near 15th Street.
- November 19 & 20 (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.): Two lanes closed on eastbound I-80 near 15th Street.
- November 24 (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.): Two lanes closed on eastbound I-80 near 7th Street.
Caltrans advises motorists to follow detour signs, with the California Highway Patrol on-site to assist with traffic.
