Caltrans will be closing the Essex St. and First St. onramps to eastbound I-80 (San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge) next week for scheduled maintenance work. The closures will occur during overnight hours on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Nov. 12, 11:59 PM to Wednesday, Nov. 13, 5:00 AM
- Wednesday, Nov. 13, 11:59 PM to Thursday, Nov. 14, 5:00 AM
- Thursday, Nov. 14, 11:59 PM to Friday, Nov. 15, 5:00 AM
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, such as the Harrison St. onramp or Mission St., to access eastbound I-80. Changeable message signs and detour signs will be in place to assist with navigation.
