San Francisco voters have approved Proposition K, a plan to close a two-mile stretch of the Great Highway between Lincoln Way and Sloat Boulevard and convert it into a park. The measure passed with 54% of the vote citywide, although many residents on the west side of the city opposed it, citing concerns about increased traffic.
