Six Bay Area schools receive anonymous threats of violence

On Tuesday morning, at least six Bay Area schools received anonymous threats of violence that were later deemed “hoaxes,” according to various police departments. The six schools – Gunn High School, Palo Alto High School, Cupertino High School, Piedmont Middle School, Piedmont High School and Millennium High School – were placed into lockdown.
