Sunny December Ahead: Warm Days, Cool Nights into 30s for Northern California

Northern California can expect a warm and dry start to December, according to the National Weather Service. High pressure is settling in after a trough brought light sprinkles to parts of the Bay Area early Sunday. Clear skies and warmer-than-normal temperatures are forecast through the first week of the month.

Monday’s daytime highs are expected to reach the mid-60s to low-70s, with coastal areas slightly cooler in the upper 50s. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s, with some southern areas, including parts of Monterey County, seeing mid-30s.

While morning fog might develop in the North Bay, the week promises calm, dry weather. The Climate Prediction Center indicates above-average temperatures and continued dry conditions through mid-December.
