Car crash, shooting reported Friday in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — One person was shot in an incident that also included a car crash Friday night in San Francisco, the San Francisco Police Department said.

SFPD responded to the area of Rickard Street and San Bruno Avenue at about 8:11 p.m. for the report of a possible shooting. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that he was turning onto San Bruno from Rickard when another car reversed into his.

The victim also told police he heard multiple gunshots in the area and believed the driver of the car that hit him had been shot. The victim was not injured.

While officers were in the area, they were informed that a man showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds. Officers confirmed it was the same man involved in the crash.
