Two people were killed in Concord early Saturday in a crash authorities believe was caused by a wrong-way driver.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on Kirker Pass Road, just north of Hess Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The agency’s preliminary investigation indicated a Honda Civic was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the road when it collided head-on with a Toyota 4Runner going in the correct direction.
The crash ejected the Honda driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt. Both drivers, whose identities were not immediately released, died at the scene, the CHP said…
