A Bay Area city council didn’t downplay its disappointment in Caltrain over cost estimates to realign a busy intersection that’s prone to accidents on the tracks .
During a public meeting on March 3, Burlingame City Council members criticized representatives from the transit agency for how the initial cost to implement a grade separation project at Broadway and California Drive had more than doubled from about $316 million to nearly $889 million.
