( KRON ) — Death, taxes and a Bay Area city being named the “happiest” in the country. It has become an annual tradition around this time of year when WalletHub releases its “Happiest Cities in America” list.
For the fifth straight year, Fremont was named the happiest city in the United States by WalletHub. Fremont isn’t the only Bay Area city home to the happiest people, according to the WalletHub report published Tuesday. San Jose is right behind with a second-place ranking while San Francisco ranks 10th. For years, cities in the Bay Area have ranked high on this list. Fremont, San Jose and San Francisco have all been listed in the top 10 for the past four years, including 2025.
