A San Jose man who police said was one of two people who in January brandished a gun at a man before taking thousands of dollars from him was arrested last week, San Jose police said Thursday.
Yonatan Petros, 19, was arrested on March 13 after a search of his residences in San Jose and San Leandro, during which officers seized an unregistered gun, police said. He was booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Petros is one of the people suspected in an armed robbery incident on Jan. 24 in San Jose. Around 1:30 p.m. that day, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a residence on the 80 block of East San Carlos Street, police said. The victim was able to flee on foot and call law enforcement, according to officers.
