A vacant commercial space at the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Masonic Avenue that has sat empty for years will have a new tenant next winter.
T&T Supermarket, the largest Asian grocery retailer in Canada , announced Thursday that it will expand to San Francisco in early 2026. The chain will open a new store at San Francisco’s City Center , the shopping center located at the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Masonic Avenue. T&T will occupy a space that has been empty since Best Buy closed in September 2017, and that Amazon-owned Whole Foods once sought to occupy.
Representatives of the Canadian chain, who confirmed the news with The Examiner on Friday, said the T&T store will serve Pacific Heights and Richmond neighborhoods, as well as residents beyond the area.
