Canadian favorite supermarket opening on busy SF intersection

Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain is coming to San Francisco for the first time.

T&T Supermarket announced it will open a new store at 2675 Geary Blvd. at the City Center mall that also holds a Target. The chain supermarket is known for freshly-made Asian food products such as xiao long bao, roasted Peking duck, a sushi counter and more. The store will be “around” 50,000-square-feet, Emily Chu, a spokesperson for T&T Supermarket told SFGATE, and it’s slated to open towards the end of 2026.

This is the second Bay Area expansion for the brand, the first was in San Jose, and the company has over 33 stores across Canada and one in Washington state. City Center mall, which is at the busy intersection of Geary and Masonic Avenue, does not currently have a grocery store on its premises. However, there is a Trader Joe’s across the street. T&T Supermarket is taking over a space that formerly housed a Best Buy , which closed in 2017…
