Teenage boy arrested in connection to Oakland Hills shooting Wednesday

( KRON ) — A teenage boy has been arrested in connection to a shooting and armed robbery in Oakland Wednesday, according to the Oakland Police Department. The shooting occurred Wednesday morning on the 1900 block of Cortereal Avenue in the city’s Montclair neighborhood.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday and located a victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital where they are currently in critical but stable condition, according to Oakland PD.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was approached by an armed suspect who demanded their belongings. During the exchange, the suspect fired their gun and the victim was hit.

The suspect — described only as a juvenile male Oakland resident — was arrested a few hours later at around 6 p.m. Oakland PD said officers recovered multiple firearms during a follow-up search…
