( KRON ) — Authorities with the Bay Area’s Regional Sideshow Enforcement Team arrested two people, ticketed 19 and towed 11 vehicles after breaking up a sideshow at the intersection of Biggie Street and Adams Avenue in San Leandro after 8:50 p.m. on April 19.
One driver was arrested for child endangerment for allegedly bringing an infant to the illegal car rally. A second person was arrested and booked into the Hayward Jail for reckless driving after air units allegedly spotted them performing sideshow stunts during the street takeover.
“[California Highway Patrol and Alameda County Sheriff’s Office air units] both arrived overhead and observed about 15 vehicles and 30 people at the intersection,” the California Highway Patrol told KRON4. “There were two vehicles seen involved in active sideshow activity spinning doughnuts.”
