( KRON ) – California Highway Patrol said patrol officers found an unserialized Smith & Wesson revolver and multiple baggies of cocaine in an Oakland traffic stop.
The discovery occurred around 5:25 p.m. on Thursday. CHP officers said they noticed a silver Infiniti SUV with paper plates on Baldwin Street. The driver of the SUV began to walk away from the Infiniti as authorities approached, CHP said.
Officers contacted the driver and asked for his driver’s license, but he fled on foot. After a short foot chase, the suspect was detained.
