Oakland Chase Leads to Arrest and Discovery of Gun, Drugs on Baldwin Street

Last Thursday, a routine patrol in Oakland by California Highway Patrol officers from the Safe Streets Task Force led to a dramatic chase and an arrest on Baldwin Street. Officers had noticed a silver Infiniti SUV recognizable by its paper plates, and upon stopping the vehicle, the driver bolted, according to CHP Oakland’s social media post.

Initiating a traffic stop near the junction of Baldwin Street and Hegenberger Road at about 5:25 PM, the suspect immediately exited his vehicle and attempted to walk away, ignoring the officers’ presence.
