A San Francisco Starbucks store that’s long been a fixture within UCSF’s Parnassus Heights campus will close by the end of the month as the company continues to adjust its mix of locations, the company confirmed Monday.
Starbucks is working to place workers from the store at 350 Parnassus Ave. at other locations, a spokesperson said. The decision to close the store once its lease expires May 30 comes as a result of the company evaluating its business to “ensure a healthy store portfolio,” he said.
The store is the second closure in San Francisco that Starubucks confirmed in the span of one week; on Friday, KRON4 reported that another location near the city’s waterfront, at 1255 Battery St. within the Levi’s Plaza complex, will close its doors on May 16…
