Following recent departures, San Francisco food hall gains new taqueria

Oakland’s popular Taqueria El Ultimo Baile has found a new home in San Francisco. Dominic Prado, owner of Taqueria el Ultimo Baile, confirmed to SFGATE that his restaurant is headed to San Francisco’s downtown market Saluhall and anticipates opening around late June.

“It’s good to be back and have a consistent location on this side of the bridge,” Prado said.

Taqueria El Ultimo Baile, which will operate daily, plans to bring its selection of signature chargrilled meats, ranging from carne asada to carnitas, served on handmade flour tortillas. Prado also hopes to offer guisados that feature chile colorado, birria and barbacoa as specials a few days throughout the week.

Prado told SFGATE that his business will operate inside the food hall for four months to start, and if all goes well, he hopes to extend his residency. No further details were shared…
