Suspect arrested in Dolores Park shooting of Luis Manuel Arguello-Inglis

Nearly a year after 19-year-old Luis Manuel Arguello-Inglis was shot and killed at Dolores Park, police today announced an arrest in connection with the June 2024 homicide.

While Arguello-Inglis’ name is not in the San Francisco Police Department press release, the timing and location of the killing — June 5, 2024 on the 500 block of Dolores Street — are a match. The SFPD also did not name the suspect, but noted that, on May 25, he was arrested in connection with this case and for several additional charges including carrying a dirk or dagger and carrying a loaded firearm.

A booking log for the county jail reveals that Javier Morando Velasquez, 18, was arrested for those crimes. He is presently incarcerated in County Jail No. 2…
