The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office charged a man with a slew of counts, including discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, in connection to a shooting in the Tenderloin on May 24.
Jonathan Contreras, 33, pleaded not guilty to criminal charges during his arraignment Thursday, officials said. Prosecutors allege Contreras was in a vehicle on the 500 block of Ellis Street when he asked a man, who had just exited a business on the block, if he was a member of a gang.
