BART experiencing ‘major delay’ after finding defective track in downtown S.F.

Some BART riders faced delays Wednesday morning after the transit agency discovered and then repaired a rail defect between its Montgomery and Powell Street stations.

A BART spokesperson said trains were temporarily forced to run on a single track through downtown San Francisco while the repairs were being made.
