S.F. DA convicts man of disobeying domestic violence order

A man was convicted of assaulting a woman and threatening to kill her and her children, San Francisco prosecutors said Monday.

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said a jury convicted Orlando Foster, 36, of making criminal threats, assault, abusing or endangering the health of a child, disobeying a domestic relations order and resisting a peace officer.

“Compliance with restraining orders is not optional. We take these cases seriously as violations of restraining orders are often the precursor to greater violence. Intervening now, and ensuring there is accountability may prevent an escalation or tragedy in the future,” Jenkins said in a statement…
