CHP Arrests Impaired Semi-Truck Driver on I-880 in Oakland After Public Reports Erratic Driving

Last Friday, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received several distress calls concerning a wayward semi-truck on the move along I-880. The vehicle was reportedly dangerously zigzagging between lanes, compelling fears of imminent collisions. Swiftly heeding the calls, officers of the CHP Oakland unit encountered the truck just south of 7th Street, their watches marking 12:05 AM, and promptly initiated a traffic stop.

According to the social media post released by CHP Oakland, the driver, who showed evident symptoms of impairment, was engaged by officers who wasted no time in conducting a DUI investigation.
