Bay Area on track for coldest June in decades. Here’s when it could shift

Parts of the Bay Area are within striking distance of measuring the coldest June in decades as cool ocean temperatures turbocharge the marine layer.

The average temperature so far this month at Oakland International Airport was just 59.9 degrees through Tuesday, nearly 3 degrees below normal. If this continues it would be the coldest June at the airport since 1967. Much of the North Bay and South Bay are also running cooler than normal so far this month.

San Francisco International Airport has not eclipsed 72 degrees this month. No June has failed to reach at least 75 degrees at SFO since records began in 1946…
