Man charged as family mourns East Bay father killed in DUI crash

(KRON) — An East Bay man has been charged with multiple felony vehicular manslaughter charges after being suspected of driving while intoxicated and killing a husband and father in Albany. KRON4 News spoke with the victim’s grieving family.

The family of the victim, Daniel Alejandro Oliva Morales, mourned his loss together Tuesday while gathered in the back of his home in Oakland. It was where he raised his three kids with his wife, Erika Oliva, who cannot believe he is gone.

“My life and my kids has really changed,” she said, “really, really changed.”
