(KRON) — Craving the best pizza you can find in the country? Luckily, if you live in the Bay Area, you don’t have to go very far to get it.
Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco was named the third-best pizzeria in the country, according to a ranking released this week by 50 Top Pizza. It was bested only by first-place Una Pizza Napoletana (New York) and Pizzeria Sei (Los Angeles).

- No. 3: Tony’s Pizza Napoletana (San Francisco)
- No. 50: Rose Pizzeria (Berkeley)
Tony’s Pizza chef, Tony Gemignani, is recognized as one of the best in the world. He also owns Pizza Rock in Las Vegas, which made the 50 Top Pizza list. Gemignani has dozens of pizzerias across the country under various names like “Slice House” and “Capo’s.”

Rose Pizzeria has also received national praise from The New York Times, which named the East Bay pizzeria as one of the 22 best in the country. Rose Pizzeria is scheduled to open its first expansion location in San Francisco later this year.
For the Top 50 Pizza’s list of “Top Pizza Slice USA 2025,” a slice of Mama’s Boy Pizza in Oakland was rated the seventh-best in the country. The publication’s 2025 list for the best pizzas in the world has not been released…
