San Francisco dumpster fire spreads to building Thursday morning

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A dumpster fire in San Francisco’s Cayuga Terrace neighborhood spread to a nearby building and prompted evacuations Thursday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

Fire crews were on scene at 7:27 a.m. on the 4700 block of Mission Street for the report of a dumpster fire. The response was upgraded shortly after to a one-alarm fire as the flames moved into the nearby building, SFFD said.

Multiple occupants of the building were evacuated by firefighters. No injuries have been reported.
