ICE arrests man in San Jose with criminal history

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents recently arrested a Mexican national in San Jose. The arrested man, identified as Rafael Mendoza, will remain in ICE custody until he is deported, federal immigration officials said.

ICE described Mendoza as an “illegal alien” who has prior convictions for child sex crimes. Agents who found and arrested Mendoza are based with ICE’s Enforcement & Removal Operations San Francisco office.

“We protect the homeland by enforcing immigration law against those who present a danger to our national security or are a threat to public safety,” ERO San Francisco wrote.
