Eight arrested in San Francisco drug bust

(KRON) — Eight suspected drug dealers were arrested and nearly a pound of drugs were seized during a two-day drug bust in San Francisco this week, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

On July 9 and 10, officers with the San Francisco Police Department’s Drug Market Agency Coordination Center and SFPD’s Narcotics Unit worked to track down and arrest suspected drug dealers within the city.

“Officers observed this drug dealing in multiple areas suspected for drug trafficking and developed probable cause to arrest the suspects for felony charges,” SFPD said.

During the mission, officers seized a loaded handgun and various types of drugs, including methamphetamine, crack cocaine, heroin, LSD and fentanyl. Some of the charges brought against the suspect include possession and sale of meth, possession of narcotics while armed, carrying a loaded gun in public, carrying a concealed gun, possession of a large-capacity magazine and resisting arrest.

“The SFPD will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by removing dangerous and potentially fatal drugs off our streets and arresting suspects and holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable,” SFPD said.
