Team of Bay Area burglars arrested, numerous guns seized: PD

(KRON) — A “crew” of burglars allegedly responsible for more than 50 burglaries in the greater Bay Area were arrested on July 17, the Benicia Police Department announced on Monday.

The arrests were made using SWAT teams from various local agencies. Police did not say how many members of the alleged burglary ring were arrested. However, BPD said that “all members of the crew” were arrested.

“In March, April and May of this year, several businesses in our community were the victims of burglaries and attempted burglaries by an organized group targeting retail stores,” BPD said. “Benicia detectives have been working each burglary continuously since the date of each incident.”
