S.F. pedestrian fatally struck by e-scooter identified by authorities

A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a person riding an electric scooter in downtown San Francisco last week was identified as 77-year-old Peter Rudolph, officials said.

Rudolph, a San Francisco resident, was struck on Sixth and Market streets around 3:50 p.m. Friday. Authorities found Rudolph suffering from injuries, and he was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died, despite rescue efforts.
