The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is rewarding up to $100,000 to residents who give tips that lead to the successful prosecution of individuals suspected of distributing methamphetamine and other illegal substances through the mail.
Since 2021, USPIS, in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies including the Guam Police Department and Guam Customs and Quarantine Agency, has worked under the Guam Interdictions and Anti-Narcotics Trafficking (GIANT) Task Force to prevent the distribution of illegal substances through the mail.
Since the GIANT Task Force was created four years ago, the USPIS has revealed that more than 780 pounds of controlled substances, including 600 pounds of methamphetamine have been seized; 29 arrests on suspicion of drug distribution have been made; and more than $550,000 in drug proceeds has been seized…
