(KRON) — Someone stole a dog that had previously attacked a child in Oakland, city officials said. The dog was deemed as “vicious” for “attacking and seriously injuring a child,” a deputy city administrator told KRON4.
The dog was later transported to Oakland Animal Services on 29th Avenue, where it was set to be euthanized.
Before the dog was killed, someone broke into the animal shelter’s facility early Thursday morning by cutting through an exterior fence and removing a window, the deputy city administrator said.
