(KRON) — A man with warrants out of Napa and Shasta counties for theft and probation violations was allegedly caught shoplifting $1,500 in merchandise from Bay Area pharmacies on July 21, including 21 bottles of probiotics, dental products and medications.

The suspect, 32-year-old Tyler Jones, stole the items from a CVS Pharmacy in Campbell, a Walgreens in San Jose, and a Safeway in Cupertino, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. Jones was allegedly planning to resell the items in San Francisco.
“A suspected thief quickly exited the Safeway store on Homestead Road in City of Cupertino, riding off on a bicycle with three backpacks and two shopping bags,” the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said.
A deputy with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office stopped Jones for riding his bike without lights at night. During the stop, Jones allegedly admitted he thought he was being stopped because Safeway employees suspected him of stealing.
