(KRON) — A suspected DUI driver was arrested in Novato early Saturday morning after he allegedly ran from police and crashed his BMW into the front yard of a home.
The suspect, 23-year-old Jovias Kennedy of Novato, was speeding in a white BMW on Redwood Boulevard near Olive Avenue around 12:47 a.m. when a police officer attempted to pull him over, according to the Novato Police Department. Kennedy allegedly led the officer on a chase through downtown Novato at speeds up to 50 mph.
“The pursuit continued to Marion Avenue, where the BMW struck an embankment, momentarily became airborne, and landed in the front yard of a residence,” Novato PD said.
