Driver killed in single-vehicle crash in East Bay

A driver was killed early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in the East Bay, police said.

The crash occurred just before 4:10 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just west of Ashby Avenue in Berkeley, when a newer model Toyota Sienna left the road and hit a guardrail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver, an Alameda man about 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released…
